The Absolute Easiest Way to Grow Tomatoes

God bless my husband. Every time he steps outside to plant something or experiment with seeds I freak out and try to stop him.

I don’t know what it is about gardening but it brings out this raging perfectionist in me. Horrible, I know.

I just have this image in my head of what a garden should look like…

…and anything less I assume isn’t worth my time. Or anybody else’s.

Well, not so with the hubs. When it comes to gardening he flies by the seat of this pants and gets an absolute kick out of experimenting.

Can you believe that? Experimenting. Pfft, what’s wrong with people these days?

You don’t experiment with Mother Nature.

You buy heirloom-certified seeds off the net, take your soil to get tested at the local county extension office, follow an exact set of instructions and start seedlings indoors at a specific temperature for a predetermined length of time.

Yes, that is what you do and any other way is a complete waste of time and energy.

So, without further ado here is my husband’s time-consuming, meticulous method for growing tomatoes:

  1. I love it. Your husband is a genius. I’d let someone like him
experiment in my garden. I’m all for easy gardening.

  2. I like the way your hubby thinks! I’m a throw the seed on and love whatever grows, type of gardener. I drive my son demented. While he’s researching I’m growing or not growing lots. I may have converted him slightly since he threw a tomato under the mulch on the w/e to see if it would grow….next time we’ll slice it first 😀

  3. thank-you, thank-you thank-you..after almost 80 yrs of failure, I think I can now grow a tomato …I also am taking this pile of million dollar DIRT down to the extension office and find out WHY IT DOES NOT GROW GOOD TOMATOES……THANK-YOU.

  4. That's the bomb your husband's a genius, how long does it take to get the full grown plant with tomatoes.? I'd love to know!m says:

  5. Im impressed, I must say. Really seldom do I see a blog thats both educational and entertaining, and let me tell you, youve hit the nail on the head. Your opinion is outstanding; the matter is something that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. Im really happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.

  6. How is it that just anybody can create a weblog and get as popular as this? Its not like youve said something extremely impressive more like youve painted a quite picture more than an issue that you know nothing about! I dont want to sound mean, here. But do you really think that you can get away with adding some fairly pictures and not genuinely say anything?
